Thank you Funny. It's tough. As you know, she was the sweetest dog. I will truly hurt for and miss her forever. My kisses upon coming home, her Walky-doo's. And our wrestle fests among everything else. She snored louder than me.
She was real sick Hermangio Sarcoma, cancer/tumors of the spleen, onset, under 4 months, basically inoperable. She's in a better place.
God Bless you Princess Girly Dawg.
Thank you Funny

BTW, that picture was in May, just before we noticed the problems. The vet says the cancer is common and hard to treat. Even with the operation, providing it worked, (20%) at her age, 4 months more. MAYBE

MAYBE In my college days, I volunteered at 2 animal shelters. One in Culver City, and the other in Long Beach CA. It's sad to see these little darling having to be put to sleep, but when they are in great discomfort and pain, I learned it was the humane thing to do for them. I just wish we did this for people that are suffering and in great pain as well. You take good care of yourself Grip, and Girly will be with you in your heart and mind forever. You both were blessing to one another.

Thank you. That's a great thing you did at the shelters. I would try to take them all home. We will have to save another soon from the pound. West Valley animal shelter is right here in Van Nuys. Can't do another pit, to close to home. My wife is really grieving, I'm concerned. I've begun to try to celebrate Girly's life, I have litterally 100's of pics, spent 3 hrs at Kinkos downloading them off cards, printing them. Stopped at Michaels, bought some frames and now Girly is displayed every where in the house. Can't touch her harness, food, or bed yet. All in time.

I wish I could have taken all the pets I watched over home with me, but I couldn't. I'm sorry to hear that your wife is having a hard time. It does get easier (over timer), but losing a pet is the same as losing a loved one imo. Fell free to post all the Girly pics on here Grip. I enjoy seeing them on the FB and here as well. I haven't given up on this board, but as you and many others can see, I am not the person that the Dawg (RIP) made me out to be. After my next operation, I am going to get a golden retriever and a small kitten. The past couple of years have prevented me from getting another pet after my Nana passed away from feline cancer. I just can't handle taking care of a pet right now with open wounds and medications. I want to be in full working order and take them for their walks daily. Yes, I had a cat leash for Nana and took her for a walk from time to time. She was an adult and didn't like the cat leash, but it was fun trying to get it on her. Ohhhhh.... the scratch marks I endured lol... Take care Grip, and tell your wife to do the same for me, and I will keep the two of you in my thoughts.
