Jurassic Park 4The dinosaurs are loose once again. Universal Pictures announced Friday that Jurassic Park 4 will roar into theaters on June 13, 2014. Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two films in the franchise, will produce with Frank Marshall, but no director is yet attached. The film will be shot in 3-D. The news makes clear that Universal is dedicated to revitalizing the Jurassic Park franchise, which has been gathering dust ever since the Joe Johnston-directed Jurassic Park III banked $181 million in 2001. Rise of the Planet of the Apes screenwriters Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver have penned a new draft of the screenplay for the four-quel, which had been been sidelined ever since an Ain’t It Cool News review in 2007 of a draft of a screenplay that featured human-dinosaur hybrid soldiers. Universal will also re-release a 3-D conversion of the first Jurassic Park on April 5 to commemorate the film’s 20th anniversary.

I'm looking forward to a new Jurassic Park film, but hopefully, they will steer away with the mess they made with part three of the JP franchise. Part three was a total mess of a film, and the f/x were just awful and fake looking.
